On January 28th, an important conventional Chinese holiday—New Year’s Eve—while the city was immersed in the warm atmosphere of family reunions, the production workshop of Reliance Energy was brightly lit and bustling with activity. A group of Reliance Energy employees remained steadfast at their posts. To ensure the smooth progress of the company’s full-scale mass production by February 2025, the project maintained its normal construction pace throughout the Spring Festival. Reliance Energy’s founder and chairwoman, Chen Xuan, founding partners Xu Fenglan and Wang Chitang, along with other employees, worked together on the front lines of production on New Year’s Eve.
On this special day, Chao Bin, Deputy District Mayor and Party Group Member of Xinbei District, Changzhou, and Party Secretary of Changzhou Binjiang Economic Development Zone, along with Liu Bo, Deputy Party Secretary and Director of the Management Committee of Binjiang Economic Development Zone and Party Secretary of Chunjiang Subdistrict, visited Reliance Energy to extend festive greetings and New Year’s blessings to the employees who Stayed at their posts.
Since the launch of the “High-Rate Lithium-ion Battery Cell R&D and Manufacturing Project (Phase I)” by Jiangsu Reliance Energy Tech. Co., Ltd., it has garnered significant attention from all sectors. As an emerging manufacturing enterprise focused on the development and production of high-rate, high-energy-density lithium-ion batteries, Reliance Energy has made a name for itself in the industry through innovative technology and a dedicated team. The company was listed as a major project in both Changzhou City and Jiangsu Province in 2024 and 2025, respectively. With the production line officially up and running and mass production imminent, even on the special occasion of New Year’s Eve, everyone chose to stay and persevere without hesitation.
Chao Bin and Liu Bo engaged in in-depth discussions with the company’s founders and core team. Chen Xuan shared the company’s entrepreneurial journey, current challenges, and future plans. Chao Bin emphasized that startups are a vital force in regional economic development, and the government will provide comprehensive support throughout their journey. He expressed confidence that with government care and the company’s own efforts, Reliance Energy would achieve greater breakthroughs in the new year, injecting new vitality into the innovative development of the manufacturing industry.
To allow employees to feel the festive atmosphere amidst their busy schedules, Chen Xuan had made careful arrangements well in advance. On the afternoon of New Year’s Eve, a grand “Celebrate New Year’s Eve, Welcome the New Year” event was organized for all employees who worked overtime, including external equipment commissioning provider personnel. The event featured over ten fun games, such as “Egg-citing Domination” (a card game competition) and “Dumpling Delight” (a dumpling-making competition). Chen Xuan personally participated in the dumpling-making competition, sharing laughter with the employees, while Xu Fenglan and Wang Chitang engaged in a lively card game competition with the staff. At the end of the competitions, awards and red envelopes were given on the spot to all winners and those who triumphed in the games.
That evening, the company prepared a sumptuous New Year’s Eve dinner and random draw prizes. Everyone gathered around, briefly relaxing and sharing stories from the past year’s work and life. Chen Xuan, on behalf of the company, thanked everyone for their hard work over the past year, especially for choosing to stay at their posts for the company’s development during a time conventionally reserved for family reunions.
The year 2025 marks the beginning of Reliance Energy’s mass production and a year of rapid growth for the company.
